Mulalo Sadike (he/him) was born and raised in Soweto and Tembisa townships in apartheid South Africa, Mulalo graduated with a degree in accounting. After 2 impactful global exchange experiences succeeding university, Mulalo quickly realized that working with people and communities is what drives him. Mulalo joined ORICE in January 2020.
Mulalo worked with YMCA of Greater Vancouver for 7 years coordinating and managing Global Initiatives and Youth Engagement programs. Shortly after starting with the Y, Mulalo championed improving Diversity and Social Inclusion in the workplace. Creating a working group of staff, they continue to push the status quo to create a more socially inclusive and diverse work environment. Prior to joining the YMCA in 2011, Mulalo worked with Canada World Youth developing global youth programs in Canada, Ukraine, Mozambique and South Africa.
Outside of work, Mulalo is an active member of his community. Currently, he is helping to organize an Indigenous cultural day in Vancouver, with the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship centre, and sits on the board for Streetrich HipHop Society, a non-profit where youth and people of all backgrounds can develop their creative potential through the artistic elements of Hip Hop culture.
