About

Vladimir Chindea (he/him) is pursuing his HBA in International Relations and Philosophy at UBC. As a filmmaker born in Romania, but raised on the un-ceded lands of the St-Laurent Iroquois and Mohawks peoples, in Montreal, he is mainly interested in migration challenges and the intersections between art and social change to meaningfully engage with untold stories. With ORICE, Vladimir completed an International Service Learning (ISL) placement in Bangalore, India, and is grateful that, in his current RA position on the ‘Wicked Problems of Global Community Development’ course, he can both continue to work with and learn from its wonderful team and maintain his relationship with the SELCO Foundation. In his spare time, he loves to bike, watch movies, and dance!
