Community Training Workshops

ORICE is excited to offer students, faculty and staff a variety of training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge to engage communities and social justice issues across a range of university activities (from research questions, to workplace conflict, to teaching and learning). Alongside our curricular and co-curricular offerings, the following extra-curricular training sessions are intended to enhance engagement with global issues on a local or community-based level, beyond surface-level discussions, and towards a praxis of being together differently. Our programming focuses on building capacities for better embedding our theories and actions in community engagement and knowledge, with an aim for co-development and prosperity across and in light of difference and oppression.

All of our community training workshops are offered to UBC community members free-of-charge, though please register beforehand.
