Funding Options

The ARA award is the only current funding available to students, however additional/alternative funding sources periodically become available. ORICE advisers will be certain to inform interested students of any additional funding opportunities when they become available. If students are not eligible for ARA funding, they may talk with our advisers about fundraising options for their course/program by contacting

Arts Research Abroad Award

Arts courses that are designated as a Arts Research Abroad (ARA) course will provide an award which will cover 70-100% of program costs for eligible students. Please note that not all Arts courses have ARA designation. In order to be considered for the award, you must meet the eligibility requirements, as well as participate in a selection process:

When you apply to any available ARA course, you will be automatically assessed for the ARA award. Admission to this course is only by application to Office of Regional and International Community Engagement (ORICE)’s International Service Learning program.
