About

Anushka Bellani (she/her) is a third-year student double majoring in Psychology and Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice (GRSJ). She is interested in issues of migration, equity, gender, and identity, and hopes to contribute to creating environments that support such learning and discourse. Her academic interests have allowed her to analyze and author research papers that examine film and media from a feminist anti-racist lens, championing narratives from South Asia, where she grew up. She works with the Behavioral Sustainability Lab as a Research Assistant and contributes to communications, social media and peer advocacy initiatives with the UBC Women’s Centre and The GRSJ Undergraduate Association, while routinely writing for The Ubyssey. Outside of work, she enjoys playing board games with her friends, going to the beach, learning about birds, and thrifting!
