Cindy Custodio (she/her) is a Filipino graduate student at the UBC iSchool. She holds undergraduate degrees in Creative Writing from the Ateneo de Manila University and in Motion Pictures & Television from the Academy of Art University. She is a filmmaker, and writer, and was a lead for a creative program of the former vice president of the Philippines. She has also worked for a literacy campaign for the urban poor and for a group led by ‘comfort women’ survivors working to break the cycle of violence in women and children. Cindy’s academic interests include the gaps in archives, anti-racism in archival descriptions, and critical fabulation.
