He is passionate about the intersectionality between culture, the creative arts, and socio-economic development, specifically within the Sub-Saharan African context. Mutuma has worked in various international student organizations where he has harnessed the influence of content, dialogue, media, and education to explore justice issues and increase youth participation in human rights enforcement. Outside of work and academics, Mutuma enjoys making music, watching documentaries, and hiking.
